Job Summary:

Responsible for preparing, conducting and evaluating Potter's technical training programs. Writes literature and develops materials used in training classes. Conducts live training classes, webinars and prepares training videos on the design, installation and programming of Potter's Fire Alarm Products.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Create instructor materials (course outlines, background material, instructional materials and training aids)
  • Works with engineering, technical support, and/or applicable area to ensure that material is accurate and reflects current product features.
  • Assess training needs and certification requirements.
  • Conduct presentations both on-site and off-site. Some travel required.
  • Conduct webinars
  • Produce training videos
  • Ensure the quality and consistency of course content throughout the course lifecycle.
  • Plan and direct classroom training, electronic learning, multimedia programs and other computer-aided instructional technologies and simulators.
  • Assist Technical Support Services on an as needed basis.

 Qualifications and Skills:

  • Technical trainer experience or experience in fire alarm system installation or design preferred.
  • Experience in designing technical course content
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (especially Powerpoint)
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • NICET certification is a plus.
