Position Overview:

Analyze all aspects of production including labor, materials, quality, delivery, and safety, to identify opportunities for improvement. Lead improvement workshops focused on the elimination of waste, productivity improvement, cost reduction, safety improvement, and cleanliness. Oversee Productivity Improvement program.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead, facilitate and execute project using Lean principles to enhance the overall effectiveness of manufacturing operations and achieve operational excellence.
  • Train, coach and challenge process owners in the use of Lean tools.
  • Report out metrics for verification of continuous improvement activities including cost out activities.
  • Provide assistance to production personnel in implementing improvement ideas, standard work, 5S and other resources they may need.
  • Follow all environmental health and safety procedures and practices to assure a safe work environment.
  • Identify and correct unsafe conditions or practices to assure a safe work environment for all employees.
  • Set the highest example for the workforce in terms of quality, safety, cleanliness, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
  • Assess key processes and identify highest-impact opportunities for improvement in quality, cost, delivery and safety.
  • Perform other related tasks and assignments, as necessary.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering (or similar) degree.


  • 5 years' experience applying lean concepts to manufacturing process and environment.
  • Leadership and training of shop-floor employees.
  • Hands-on leadership of improvement workshops.
