Corrosion Technical Support Specialist

We are a St. Louis manufacturer located in Hazelwood Missouri seeking a Sprinkler Monitoring and Corrosion Technician for a Technical Support/Training position.  The position requires someone customer orientated with excellent communication skills (verbal and written).  The primary responsibility is to provide efficient, effective and cordial technical support for all of Potter's Sprinkler Monitoring and Corrosion products and train customers and new employees on said products.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Respond to requests for technical support via telephone and email.
  • Maintain records of technical support cases using CRM software.
  • Provide technical expertise in the application, installation and troubleshooting of Potter's products.
  • Assume responsibility for product support projects following processes and procedure to support initiatives.
  • Utilize test equipment to verify or recreate problems discovered during field installation.
  • Create and update product support bulletins, installation manuals and product data sheets.
  • Perform on-site commissioning of Potter equipment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of time.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Associates/Technical Degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent.
  • Computer literacy, including windows base systems and Microsoft Office Products
  • General mechanical aptitude required and electrical experience a plus.
  • Ability to work both individually and collaborate in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of sprinkler systems and/or compressed gas systems a plus
