Inside Sales Representative

Summary: 

The Inside Sales Representative will assist the department in achieving quarterly sales goals and providing support to customers and the outside sales team. These goals include, but are not limited to, sales support, technical support, reporting, quotation, training, and marketing promotion.

 

Responsibilities:

  •  Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing quotations.
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound calls and emails.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers.
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate outside sales representatives for further development and closure.
  • Assist in the closure of sales opportunities and meeting quarterly/yearly company objectives.
  • Field technical support calls to assist installation or troubleshoot issues, provide solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with customer retention and lead follow-up practices.
  • Perform online presentations and assist in training customers and end users.
  • Ability to work internally with multiple departments in order to achieve company goals and resolve issues.   

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or any other relevant field of study. Fire protection experience preferred.
  • 3 or more years of sales experience and/or technical support.
  • Sales and profit analysis, advertising and promotion, customer interaction experience preferred.
  • Ability to learn product lines, distribution channels, and industry operations quickly.
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Exceptional Communication Skills
  • Ability to Multi-Task
  • Strong interpersonal and persuasion skills
  • Results oriented (Able to meet and expand on goals set by department)
  • Computer skills Microsoft Office Software, ability to use ERP system, and CRM software.
  • Ability to travel at least 20% to support customer events and trade show support.
