Evax by Potter has an opening for a fire alarm / voice evacuation system technical support person. The Potter brand name and our logo have become synonymous with quality products and service. We are a manufacturer of life safety voice evacuation products located in Branford, Connecticut, seeking a technician for a technical support position.  The position requires someone customer orientated with excellent communication skills (verbal and written).  The primary responsibility is to provide efficient, effective and cordial technical support for Evax's voice evacuation and mass notification products.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Respond to requests for technical support via telephone and email.
• Maintain accurate call logs.
• Provide technical expertise in the application, installation and troubleshooting of fire alarm voice evacuation products.
• Assume responsibility for product support projects following processes and procedure to support initiatives.
• Provide support as required for our Customer Service, Manufacturing and Engineering departments.
• Utilize test equipment to verify or recreate problems discovered during field installation.
• Create and update product support bulletins, installation manuals and product data sheets

Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate's /Technical Degree in Electronics, or equivalent industry work experience.
• 1-year experience in technical support or service (installation and maintenance of hardware or software-controlled products)
• Computer literacy, including Windows based systems, Microsoft Office Products
• Ability to work both individually and collaborate in a team environment.
• Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision
• NICET certification is a plus.
