Division Controller

Job Overview: Responsible for the Division's accounting practices, the maintenance of fiscal records, and the preparation of its financial reports.  Has overall supervisory responsibility of all accounting and reporting for the Division.  Ensures the accurate and timely general ledger and period-end closings.  Prepares or supervises the preparation of balance sheets, P&Ls, data forecasts, cash flow data, and other reports.  Reconciles assets and liabilities.  Conducts asset valuations and participates in the budget planning process as needed. 

Job Duties & Accountabilities:

1. Manages the general ledgers, accounts receivable and payable, depreciation, cost, property, operating expenses, etc. of the Division
2. Prepares the Division's balance sheet, profit and loss, cash flow and other accounting reports for the Division; assists in the preparation of consolidated financial statements and reports as needed
3. Ensures results are reported in compliance with GAAP
4. Development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to the financial management, budget, and/or accounting of the Division
5. Monitor and continuously improve compliance with internal controls
6. Provides management with timely reviews of Division's financial status and progress in its various programs and activities
7. Coordinates with the VP, Global Corporate Controller with the preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting
8. Establishes system controls for new financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems
9. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the VP, Global Corporate Controller from time to time

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or closely related field; CPA preferred

Experience: 6+ years of experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Proven track record of principles, practices, regulations and procedures
• Ability to apply broad work experience and knowledge with analyzing complex problems. Must be able to consistently identify critical elements, variables and alternatives to develop solutions
• Ability to organize/prioritize existing resources and incorporate new information, as needed, to implement the most effective solutions; capacity to perform and manage the timely completion of multiple tasks concurrently
• Establish effective working relationships with others and ability to communicate clearly and courteously within all levels of the Company
• Proficiency in computer software applications, including Microsoft Office (EPICOR experience a positive)
• Think strategically about the business decisions and issues (e.g. cost/benefit)
• Work independently in a results-oriented environment
