Overview:

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for coordinating all sales of Fire Sprinkler products, including support of local distribution representatives, end-users, engineers and contractors.  Manages sales growth activities of the assigned territory to existing and potentially new Potter Electric Signal Company's customers.  A minimum of 2 years Fire Protection industry sales is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Direct sales forecasting activities for regional customer base and sets revenue goals.
• Review market analyses to determine customer needs and determines how to best grow revenues.
• Work very closely w/customers to implement product and industry training for them as well as engineers and end users.
• Represent company at trade association meetings/shows to promote product.
• Deliver sales presentations to customers in coordination with sales objectives.
• Manage core travel and entertainment budget on a weekly, monthly and yearly schedule as not to exceed allotted amount prescribed by Potter.
• Capable of time and territory management to be effective in calling on customer base.
• MUST BE BASED IN THE NORTHEAST REGION OF THE U.S.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business and/or technical field experience.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in the fire and security field.
• Enhance the department value by providing a positive, professional image.
• Capable of acquiring a functional knowledge of company products, along with the purpose and end use.
• Read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals and professional journals.
• Write reports and business correspondence.
• Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Use basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, common fractions, and decimals).
• Problem solving/analytical thinking.
• Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• General computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
