Production Manager

Potter Electric Signal has an opportunity for a Production Manager.

The Production Manager is accountable for ensuring manufacturing and assembly of the product that is produced at the St. Louis Potter Electric Signal primary production facility for distribution word wide.

The Production Manager is charged with:

Driving operational excellence, continuous improvement in quality, productivity, safety, and cost.

Helping to continuously improve the level of customer service and on-time delivery, reduce overall costs, and improve overall operating efficiency.

Implementing lean principles, continuous improvement and sustainment across the operations, through their experience with a variety of manufacturing processes, including Lean, Six Sigma, VSM, Kaizen, Standard Work, and/or TPM environments.

Ensuring the execution and adherence of safety, health and environmental policies and culture to prevent work related injuries and enable a positive, highly engaged work environment.

Key Job Criteria:

Prior experience successfully leading a manufacturing/assembly production.

Strong knowledge of and prior experience implementing lean manufacturing principles.

Prior experience of delivering superior levels of employee engagement.

Ability to facilitate change. Encourages others to seek opportunities for different and innovative approaches to addressing problems and opportunities; facilitates the implementation and acceptance of change within the workplace.

Strong business and financial acumen.

Proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Professional Qualifications

The Production Manager will have 10+ years of manufacturing/operations management experience.

Expertise in world class manufacturing principles and tools, with a strong emphasis on Lean.

An inspirational leader and team player who fosters a collaborative environment and develops a strong culture enabling high levels of morale and engagement, resulting in exemplary performance in quality, efficiency, and productivity.

Excellent interpersonal skills and experience creating high performing team. Demonstrated success recruiting, building, developing, coaching and retaining a highly motivated workforce.

Ability to identify what matters most and prioritize as well as focus efforts of team appropriately.

Expert problem solver who uses data to drive informed decision making.

Track record of delivering bottom line impact through continuous improvement while maintaining quality and supporting sales growth.
