Potter Electric Signal Company, the recognized world leader in Fire Sprinkler Monitoring Industry, is looking for a Shipping Supervisor to oversee the shipping department. Successful Shipping Supervisor candidates should have at least three years' experience in shipping, excellent communication skills, and outstanding insight. Ideal candidates will have a proven aptitude for interpreting data.

Shipping Supervisor Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Oversee General Shipping Activities
• Ensure shipping targets are met and achieve the company set financial targets
• Plan and prepare seasonal requirements such as labor, equipment, material and training for the execution of shipping operations
• Inspect Loading Operations
• Analyze, investigate and track shipping errors
• Maintain "up to date" knowledge of export documentation requirements
• Manage Shipping Orders and Export documentation
• Inventory Reconciliation
• Supervise Shipping Staff
• Manage storage operations and ensure loading plans are implemented
• Comply with company policies/procedures as well as government legislations
• Comply with shipping documentation and customer requirements
• Maintain Warehouse Safety and Cleanliness

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or related field, and more than 3 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Solid experience of delivery channels for shipments and shipping protocols
• At least 3 years' experience in warehousing and shipping at supervisory level
• Forklift certification
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Focus on continuous process improvement
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Physical Requirements

• Hand and arm dexterity
• Ability to speak and hear
• Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds
